Manchester Junior Chess Congress:

Altrincham 24th November 2018

This was a first for the MJC, with a congress in the Altrincham area. The event was designed to support the establishment of the Manchester Chess Federation’s newest chess club, Altrincham Junior Chess Club. The club has now been running for six months and has an active membership. This has been due to the fantastic support from parents but also the leadership from Olga Aslanova and Richard Ballam who have been the mainstays to the project.

The congress was well attended with approaching fifty children from across Manchester/ The venue, The Hub was well suited to a small junior congress and will be a future addition to the MJC congress diary.
